This role is responsible for the collaborative development and management of the product roadmap, aligning the team and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, while ensuring competitive differentiation and alignment to the wider Medium Segment Native Cloud (MSNC) product strategy. Working with the of the Product Delivery team, you’ll maximise the value of the Sage People product by acting as the voice of the customer and managing the overall product backlog, associated epics and user stories. You’ll also head up a team of experienced Product Managers and Product Owners to help you execute on this. This is a highly collaborative role so you’ll be partnering other Sage People and MSNC teams including Product Management, Product Development, XD, Security, Product marketing and Sales teams. We’re seeking someone who has previously led a Product Function in a SaaS organisation, specifically focusing on the HR and/or Payroll sector. You’ll have come up through the product management ranks so will understand the team priorities and challenges so are best placed to advise and lead the team to success. We work in a fast-paced organisation so you’ll be comfortable in this type of environment, particularly regarding reprioritising feature builds or schedules in response to changing business needs. We’d love someone who has exposure working in both a larger organisation and a start-up/scale up but you must be familiar with the SalesForce platform and be used to working to an agile methodology. You’ll be highly commercial yet customer centric, motivated by understanding and meeting users’ needs whilst also meeting product goals. You’ll also be a proven leader with demonstrable experience of leading and inspiring teams as well as delivering through others. Key Responsibilities Key Accountabilities And Decision Ownership Discover users’ needs by conducting market, competitive, user research, win-loss and other data to unveil critical insights. Be responsible for the collaborative development and management of the product roadmap, aligning the team and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, while ensuring competitive differentiation and alignment to the wider MSNC product strategy. Through ongoing discussion and deliberation, determine what prioritized features to build next, being prepared to reprioritize on a quarterly basis in response to changing business needs, delighting customers and exciting the market thorough vision, innovation and differentiation. Champion the team, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment around overall strategy and direction of the product. Working collaboratively with the wider Medium Segment Native Cloud (MSNC) product organization, drive the creation, documentation, implementation and management of best practices to continuously improve product management. Work closely with Sage People product marketing, product owners and wider MSNC and Sage teams, support product launches, creating and delivering multi-channel and multi-media communications of the product vision, strategy, intent and roadmap. Be responsible for the productivity, development and growth of the Sage People product managers, keeping them motivated and engaged as part of the wider Sage product community. Contribute to identifying key ISVs that will help deliver an innovative and competitive whole product offering. Act as a core member of the MSNC product organization ensure project goals remain aligned to business objectives in the often fast-paced agile development processes. Skills, know-how and experience: Must have: Significant experience working in a product management or product ownership leadership position in an HR, ERP, or other related domain, with a leading vendor or associated partner organization.
