| Technical Author required to deliver high quality information for; On-line Help, Installation Guides, Release Notes, Training Manuals and videos. The successful candidate will work with the product teams to creating documentation supporting software applications. You will; Use technical communication skills to present information clearly and concisely. Review and edit documentation to meet industry and company standards. Collaborate with product teams and subject matter experts developing new content. Create and manage publications for project deliverables as required The idea candidate will have; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Technical Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, English, Journalism, Education, Training or comparable. Proficient communication and presentation skills in English Proficient at writing and editing. Experience with technical communications standards (Microsoft Writing Styleguide, Chicago Manual of Style, DQTI) Experience with at least one XML editing tool (XMetal, Arbortext or Oxygen) Experience with using DITA Experience with a content management system (CMS) Graphics capture basic editing Experience with Microsoft Office tools Information usability and architecture experience is a plus HTML / CSS experience is a plus Experience with video editing tool (e.g. Camtasia) is a plus Software development experience is a plus Experience with SDL Knowledge Center / Content Manager is a plus |
